If you have music, team, and instruments, and you are just missing
the chance to
be the next big thing in the world of bands, well. BAND WAR awaits
you! There’s something in a war
right? BAND WAR is the ultimate battle of the bands where bands from
all over India compete to
showcase their musical prowess. So, train hard, upsurge the
adrenaline and amaze the
audience!
GUIDELINES
1. Bands will be allowed a total of 20 mins on-stage(including
performance,
setup and soundcheck).
2. Participants are required to play at least ONE original
composition.
3 . Bands will have to bring their own Musical Instruments and
Special Effects. However,
Programmed Music is not allowed. Drumkit would be provided.
4 Marks will be deducted for exceeding the Time limit.
5 The decision of the judges will be Final and Binding .
6. Bands will be disqualified on the spot for Misconduct, Obscenity
or Foul Language.
7. Team size is limited to 5 to 8 members.
JUDGING CRITERIA
1. Music (This criteria is based on clarity, lyrical content and
overall musical
Performance including instrumental efficacies and vocal delivery of
the song)
2. Stage Presence and Crowd Interaction (This criterion is based on
how well the band
"rocks out" and how well the band connects with the crowd)
3. Originality (This criterion judges the most important part of
your act, your original
material! Every Band should present at least one original song
4. Crowd Applause (The key ingredient to rock stardom: THE
FANS!)

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Have you got a voice to make people chant your name ? Are your
melodies capable enough to mesmerize the hearts of the millions ?Do
you love to play with the swaraas , the notes , the taalaas?Do you
want to become the next musical sensation. Then this is your shot .
The VOICE , is a solo singing competition which is segregated into
two on linguistic terms , INDIAN/HINDI SINGING and WESTERN
SINGING(English songs typically).
GUIDELINES
1.Every participant will have to present a song , HINDI or ENGLISH
depending on the genre chosen on a karaoke track.
2.The time limit for the same would be 3(min)-5(max) minutes.
3.There should not be any vulgarity in the performance , this would
straightaway lead to disqualification.
4. As mentioned , since, this is a solo singing competition, no
accompanists for creating harmonies or instrument would be
entertained .
5.Instruments are not entertained .
6.Marks would be deducted for exceeding the time limit.
JUDGING CRITERIA
1.VOCALS(For any singing competition ,the key is the vocal quality
of the performer)
2.RANGE( the ability of performing the swaras or the notes in all
the octaves be it lower octave and the higher is what every judge
watches for)
3.STAGE PRESENCE(the posture, confidence, acknowledgement of the
audiences all compile to be a successful vocalist)
4.CROWD INTERACTION AND APPLAUSE (The key ingredient to rock
stardom: THE FANS!)
5.Judgement of the judges would be final.
6.The participant will be straightaway disqualified for creating
misconduct.

Do you love to play with the strings of the guitars? or to roam
around in the magical world of Beethoven? Do you feel goosebumps,
when someone thumps the taalaas on the table?
Do you believe that your instrument needs a platform to express
itself to the world , then this is your
shot.
INSTRUMENTATIA is an online competition to showcase
your instrumental skills
GUIDELINES:
1)Every participant should prepare a video of 1 minute
2)Maximum two members per team are allowed .
3)The video would be uploaded on the NITJ MUSIC CLUB Instagram page.
4)The result would be an outcome based on the maximum mutual likes
of the video and the page (50%) + quality of music
generated(50%).
5)The decision of the judges would be final.
6)No vulgarity of content would be entertained.
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
1)ORIGINALITY :The original musical pieces or works would be given
priority .
2)MUSIC: The quality of music created , the proficiency with which
the instrument is played , the effect of the music and the
arrangements would be the key factors)
3)MUTUAL LIKES: The mutual likes (like on th video and the page)
would be a 50% criteria.
In the lights of EMINEM ,DIVINE,RAFTAAR,BOHEMIA, BADSHAH and so on
,the love for the rappers in the present times is on an ascent
humongously. Inspired by this, the NITJ Music Club , for the very
first times, invites all the rappers, the writers , who think ,can
say out their poetry on beats; to battle to be NITJ’S first rapstar
Do you believe you have that fire in your belly to rock the
audiences with your flows! Do you see a star in you? Do you want to
be the next rap sensation? Then what are you waiting for boy? Bring
it on!
GUIDELINES:
1)Every participant has to perform a rap on a karaoke track for 3-4
minutes.
2)The lyrical content should not entertain any vulgarity, or should
not hurt the sentiments of any community, or social group or
individual.
3)The original content would be given an edge over the others.
4)The verdict of the judges would be final.
5)The participant would be straightaway disqualified for misconduct.
6) Exceeding the time limit would lead in deduction of marks.
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
1)PROFESSIONALISM:
A rapper is not merely a speaker, but a performer as well , so your
moves on the stage, the personality ,improvisations, the track
preparation, the beats chosen all creates a stepping stone to be
professional aspect.
2) ORIGINALITY AND UNIQUENESS :
The original rap,
lyrically and
musically , will be given extra credits and marks .The level of
music produced, the beat chosen, the message conveyed
the hooks etc would be the other key factors.
3)STAGE PRESENCE AND AUDIENCE INTERACTION:
Interacting with the audience and their response would be the
most prominent factor for the judgement.
